(except 10:00 AM in July and August).
First Day School
First Day School for children and adults is held at 9:30 am all Sundays except the first Sunday of the month. Group singing begins at 9:30 am. Individual classes for all ages begin at 9:50 am and end at 10:50 am. Meeting for Worship begins at 11:00 am. (There will be no First Day School for Children or group singing at 9:30 am during June, July, and August of 2007.)
On the first Sunday of the month, children participate in childcare during Meeting for Business at 9:00 am and in an all-age First Day School Class during Meeting for Worship at 11:00 am, after which they join their families for the final fifteen minutes of Meeting for Worship.
Child care is provided during all other Meetings for Worship, with the children joining their families for the final fifteen minutes of Meeting for Worship.
During First Day School classes, children learn Christian and Quaker values through a variety of age-appropriate curricula covering Bible stories, autobiographical material about significant historical figures, inspirationial children's stories, service projects, and other activities. The adult class periodically decides upon a topic for discussion over the next several weeks or months.
